This procedure changes the symbol that the LCD display shows for each floor (for example T for the ground floor or S for the basement). In the video we show it on an LCD600.
The procedure is the same for all displays: only the menu changes. Before you start, find the menu for your display in the table.
Menu for changing the symbols
| Display | Menu | How to get there |
|---|---|---|
| LCD60x | M6 | press SEL 6 times |
| LCD56x | M3 | press SEL 3 times |
| LCD59x · LCD69x | M1 | press SEL 1 time |
The buttons
On the back of the display there are two buttons:
- SEL: scrolls through the items (menus, floors, characters);
- ENT: confirms the item shown.
Procedure
- Open the symbols menu. Press SEL until the display shows the menu for your model (see the table: M6, M3 or M1), then press ENT.
- Choose the floor. The display shows a floor (for example 0). Press SEL until the floor you want to change appears, then press ENT.
- Choose the right-hand character. Press SEL until the character you want appears (for example T), then press ENT.
- Choose the left-hand character. The display asks for the character to show on the left. Press SEL until the character you want appears, then press ENT. If you want nothing on the left, press ENT straight away.
- Repeat from step 1 for each floor you want to change.
Examples from the video
- Floor 0 → T: menu, floor 0, right-hand character T, no character on the left (ENT only).
- Floor -1 → basement: menu, floor -1, right-hand character S, left-hand character S.
Note: the video uses an LCD600 (menu M6). On another display, follow the same steps using the menu shown in the table.
